Oxford Agentic: Second Brain Bootcamp

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
£325 – £450

Wednesday 21 October 2026, 09:00-17:00, Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford.

Your AI has read the whole internet. It has never met you. Spend one day fixing that, and leave with a second brain that works like your own chief of staff.

A hands-on bootcamp for business leaders, founders and consultants who already use AI every day. No coding needed.

Why it matters

  • Your AI starts from zero every time. Give it your context once and it stops asking.
  • A chief of staff. It briefs you each morning, drafts in your voice and remembers what you decided, and why.
  • Company memory is the next edge. Teams relearn old decisions, and knowledge walks out when people leave. AI agents are only as good as the memory they share.

You’ll leave with

  • A working second brain on your own material, already doing a real job for you
  • A clear blueprint for giving your team or company one

What to bring

  • Bring what you would be comfortable putting in an email to an external supplier. Credentials, keys and other people’s personal data stay out of a second brain in any form.
  • It is a hands-on day with no coding needed – bring a laptop you can install apps on, and we send a short set-up checklist before the day so it is ready when you arrive.
  • Mostly hands-on: you build your own second brain on your own material, then look at shared memory for teams and how organisations should design it.

Then the museum

The day ends with an optional guided tour of the museum at 17:00: how people have kept memory and passed on skills for thousands of years.

Your hosts: Drummond Gilbert (tutor in AI in Management at Saïd Business School; runs Oxford’s Practical AI meetup); Adrian Shedden (fintech lawyer turned founder; runs his business with teams of AI agents); Glenn Smith (twenty years putting AI into production, from FX market-making at UBS and Barclays to advising HSBC on AI strategy; two startup exits); Adam Martin (founding CTO; Cambridge master’s in computing; builds shared human-agent memory systems).

What people said after previous bootcamps

“Best, most practical AI session I have attended to date – highly recommend it!” – Kirsten Samuel, CEO, Kamwell.

“I walked away with a fully functional agentic workflow and a concrete plan to roll it out.” – Lu Yan, DfE.

“Make sure you don’t miss this next time it’s on.” – Gareth English.

“I left with more than ideas. I left with something I could apply the following week.” – Dr Zeynep Hizir.
