Three Oxford homelessness charities have joined forces and are calling on local people to join a desert trek and help tackle homelessness in the city.

The Sahara Challenge will take place in Morocco on 7-14 November 2020 and will see a team of intrepid volunteers swap the British winter weather for the desert sun, raising funds for the Gatehouse, Emmaus Oxford and Homelessness Oxfordshire.

The challenge will include four days of desert trekking and camping under the stars plus a two-day community project in Marrakech.

Anyone interested in finding out more is invited to attend a special information evening at 6pm on Wednesday 9 October 2019 at Seacourt Tower (OX2 0PH).
