The Most Haunted team visited Oxford Castle a couple of years ago, and were disturbed by moans and groans throughout the old prison. Oxford Castle was a working prison up until 1996 when it closed. The Castle is said to be haunted by old guards, a large monk, a woman called Mary Blandy, and many others. Mary was left by her lover to face trial on her own, she was then hanged. She now wanders the grounds haunting people, specifically men.
