It’s ‘Good-Bye’ to plush carpets, red flock wallpaper and musak…’hello’ to a minimalistic light modern decor in which to enjoy the finest of Indian cuisine. A vast sub-continent, India is a region of contrasts from low-lying plains to the mighty Himalayas and from the deserts of Rajasthan to the mangrove swamps and rice paddies of Bangladesh.
The geographical contrasts are reflected in the vast range of cuisine. Around fifty spices and herbs are in common use, making for an almost infinite number of permutations.

Your hosts at Majliss are four brothers, all members of the Miah family from the Sylhet region of Bangladesh. For many years they were the team behind the success of the award-winning Tiffin’s Tandoori restaurant in Kidlington. Your restaurant manager is Mr. Faisal Ahmed.

We have organised the menu so as to offer not only the classic dishes that you will have come to expect, but also over 30 special dishes, many of which are not available in any other restaurant. Whether you choose to “play it safe” or to explore some of the more exotic offerings, you can be sure that your dishes will not only be made from the finest and freshest ingredients, but also be cooked to perfection and served with style. However, individual tastes vary, so please do not hesitate to tell us of any special requirements you may have, and we will do our best to meet them.
