Lunch…

What’s On In Oxford popped into the Red Lion on Tuesday, to see the super friendly and efficient team, and of course enjoy a fabulous lunch.

We had heard so much about Mark’s famous home-made bread, it would have been rude not to try it!

We started with the home-made chicken liver pate and toast (made using the thickly sliced home-made bread), and it was delightful, especially with the spiced apple chutney.

We then opted for the Ploughman’s. The cheese was thick cut and tasty, as was the ham (its hidden in this pic, but there was lots of it!), the salad was fresh and crunchy, and the bread, well the bread was superb! Did I mention the bread is home-made?!

All in all, it was a lovely lunch. The sun was shining which is handy for the men working on the garden, it’s being extended so there will be even more outside space for you to enjoy refreshing beers, ciders, lunches and dinners.

Our next trip to the Red Lion, has to be on a Sunday, we’ve heard rave reviews about their roast dinners…
