An illuminated trail through festive gardens
It’s the most wonderful time of the year as treetops glisten and the Great Lake and the waterfall of Blenheim Palace shimmer and sparkle. There’s something for everyone as the one mile glittering path winds its way through the world-famous Parkland in a magical after dark experience.
You’ll notice all-new installations this year too. From Sky-Lights, an aerial light show filling the sky with dancing bands of colour, to the dynamic waterfall at The Cascade. From the mesmerising and immersive ribbons of light at Vines to a more reflective place where, beneath the branches of sprawling trees, softly glow the flowers at Snowdrop Walk.
To those who have been before, rest assured. The towering Tunnel of Light will once again twinkle with over 100,000 pea-lights, the bouncing lines of light in the woodland Laser Garden and the flickering flames of the scented Fire Garden all return. Christmas at Blenheim Palace wouldn’t be complete without the Water Terrace Finale as jumping beams of light dance across the historic façade to much-loved Christmas classics.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas and complete your walk under the stars with spiced cider, mulled wine or hot chocolate*. Gather around the fire-pit with family and friends to toast marshmallows* and end the evening browsing the well-stocked gift shop in the East Courtyard. Why not pick up some treats for the journey home.
For the young ones in all of us there’s a Victorian carousel*, Helter-skelter* and other family rides* and don’t forget to look out for Father Christmas and his elves along the way.
