Horse riding in Oxford

Horse riding should be fun and involve all the family! They aim to get you up and riding independently within your first few lessons through using vaulting techniques; they are experienced in helping adult novices and nervous returning riders.

The natural behaviour and sensory input of horses, combined with unique approach, helps people to change their lives through learning with horses. Horse-riding holiday activities can vary from an experienced rider simply hiring a horse for the odd hour to residential riding courses for absolute beginners in Oxford.

 

Oxford has a number of horse riding companies who are professional and friendly, offering one to one riding lessons in a quiet surrounding. They have a wide range of horses and ponies, from children’s ponies, horses and ponies for the absolute beginner and a selection of ex competition horses who can take riders on further.

Oxford Riding Club was started over 50 years ago and through the years has enjoyed success in all the disciplines. Some horse riding companies specialize in ground-based and riding activities for children, young people and adults with learning, behavioral and physical difficulties, such as autistic spectrum disorders, emotional, social and behavioral difficulties, low confidence, selective autism, attachment disorders, Down’s syndrome and epilepsy.
