SUMMARY:Sing with Summertown Choral Society
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we begin rehearsals for our next concert. Accompanied by Instruments of Time and Truth we’ll be performing Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vespers. \nSinging improves our sense of happiness and wellbeing and brings physical benefits too such as improving our breathing and posture. So why not join Summertown Choral Society which has been welcoming choral singers of all ages and voice parts and whether experienced\, rusty or complete novices since its foundation in 1961? \nRehearsals are at St Michael and All Angels Church in Summertown on Thursday evenings from 8 to 9.30. Rehearsals for our Winter Concert\, when we will be performing Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vespers accompanied by Instruments of Time and Truth\, start on 17 September. One of the most celebrated works in the choral repertoire\, Mozart’s Requiem is a musical experience of enduring grandeur and spiritual depth. It combines sublime choral writing\, brilliant orchestration\, and deep emotional resonance and is a joy to sing. \nThere’s no audition just come along to a rehearsal and sing with us and then decide if you’d like to join.
