Winter Lights Festival 2022

As a part of Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival, Ark-T warmly invites you to our annual winter party:

Winter Lights 2022 – Friday 18 November, 5-8pm

Experience a magical audio-visual installation, enjoy music from local musicians and DJs, take part in creative workshops, get your face painted and eat delicious seasonal food. Winter Lights 2022 has something for everyone!

Live Music & Performance

Fam Jam – Hall – 5:45-6:45pm

Disco party for the whole family

Parade – all spaces – 6:45-7pm

Ark-T’s creative participants in a magical parade of stars

Audio-visual experience  – Hall – 5pm-8pm, with live music from 7-8pm

Magical winter audio-visual installation with Safehouse, artist Lee Riley and the band Flights of Helios.

Creative activities

Giant globe decoration – Hall – 5-7pm

Be part of a community art piece decorating a giant globe lantern. The finished lantern will be displayed at the annual festival of trees at St. James church in December.

Creative Workshop – Art Room – 5-6pm

Join Artist Maria Finch for a creative workshop… more details to follow!

Face painting – Garden Room – 5-7pm

Face painting for all ages with Ark-T’s creative team and volunteers


Soup and bread from Waste 2 Taste – Café – 5-7pm

Fresh pizza from the pizza oven – Garden – 5-7pm – £2 a slice

Seating is available in the café, the garden and on the terrace.

Soup and Bread are free for everyone. Soft drinks are free and available all evening in the cafe. Please note this is a no-alcohol event.

How to get here

We encourage you to use public transport or to walk or cycle to this event.

There are bike hoops outside Ark-T Centre and outside Templars Square Shopping Centre.

Many bus routes stop near us at Templars Square.

Please note that the multi-storey car park next to Ark-T Centre closes at 6pm

Ark-T Centre is wheelchair accessible and this event is suitable for neurodiverse audiences.
