“Silver Lining” by Sandi Toksvig

Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 7:30 pm - Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:00 pm

Silver Lining is a hilarious comedy by Sandi Toksvig. It tells the tale of a group of extraordinary yet forgotten women, who come together one treacherous night to recreate “The Great Escape” – senior-citizen style!

On one dark and stormy night in the upper day room of the Silver Retirement Home, five elderly women are trading stories of their remarkable (or, in some cases, unremarkable) lives.

With the storm floods rising and no rescue team in sight, the ladies are faced with the sudden realisation that in order to survive they are going to have to do what they have
done for their entire lives – do it themselves!

Gareth Hammond and Denise Santilli will be co-Directing this production and says “We are particularly pleased to welcome four actors making their début with the Bartholomew Players, all of whom have shown real talent in reading/auditioning. The script is fast-paced, sharp and funny with lots of laugh-out-loud moments which will delight the audience. Beware, however, the script does contain some language and material which may offend – you have been warned!!”

This production will follow all Government guidance in place at the time of the performance regarding any COVID-19 safety measures – please check their website regularly for updates.
