Reptile Walk at Wigwell nature reserve, Charlbury, West Oxfordshire

Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

A spring walk around Wigwell nature reserve in the Cotswolds to learn about the habits and lifestyle of our British reptiles.

Join our expert herpetologist Neil Clennell on a spring walk around Wigwell nature reserve to learn about the habits and lifestyle of our British reptiles. There will be a good chance of seeing several native species in the wild, and Neil will bring along some reptile curiosities to look at too.

A lifelong expert, Neil was previously Curator of Herpetology at Bristol Zoological Gardens.

It is also a great opportunity to enjoy some time in the great outdoors on one of our prettiest nature reserves in the Cotswolds, when the spring wild flowers will be in bloom.

HOW TO FIND US:

Wigwell nature reserve is accessed on foot via a kissing gate from Nine Acres Lane in Charlbury. The reserve is next to the scout hut and opposite the steps up to Nine Acres park. There is no parking at the reserve. We will meet inside the gate at the entrance.

NB: the map above is automatically generated by postcode and may not show the exact entrance, so please follow the directions to find us.

T RANSPORT AND PARKING:

Parking is available in Charlbury at either the Spendlove car park by the Co-op, or at the railway station car park at the bottom of Dyers Hill.

Charlbury has good public transport links, with both a railway station and bus services, so please consider using public transport.
