Oxford Storytelling Festival

26 August @ 5:00 pm - 28 August @ 11:00 pm

£50 – £145

An intimate festival weaving magic with stories, spoken word, poetry and song.

This year, Oxford Storytelling Festival will be focussing on the theme of The New Story.  What sort of world do we want to create?  What do we want to take into our future and what do we want to leave behind?  What are the stories to support humanity in this transition.  The element that we have to support this is Air.  Air supports ‘blowing away the cobwebs’ and allowing freshness to arrive.  We need our breath and voice to support expression and create new pathways into existence.  Join us for two days of creativity, enchantment, magic and story.  Come and be part of the co-creation of the New Story.

“This was my first experience of a story telling festival and for me it was a wonderful moment outside the humdrum of my everyday and seemingly complex life. It gave me time to ruminate on and experience first hand the power of the ‘story’ through spoken word, song and even through silence.”

“The festival showed me how stories are woven into the human condition for us as individuals and as community. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy myself, I also gained a new perspective on the puzzles of my existence.”

“Fabulous, pint-sized family-friendly festival where you can reconnect with what matters.”
