Orienteering Adventure – for children aged 7 – 12 years

The day begins with our intrepid young explorers getting to know each other with some fun team building challenges. Then it’s time to learn key orienteering skills – map reading and how to use a compass correctly – and have a go at practising in the safety of our Earth Lab gardens.

After lunch, we head over to the hills – the impressive Wittenham Clumps – to take on orienteering challenges which test your navigational skills and teamwork as you navigate through the beautiful surroundings of Earth Trust. Working in small teams, we work on honing collaborative and communication skills to find all the markers, and find fun facts about the history of the landscape along the way.

It’s sure to be an unforgettable day of excitement and exploration at the Orienteering Adventure event. Get ready to discover the hidden wonders of Wittenham Clumps, learn new skills and create memories that will last a lifetime!

P lease note

• Suitable for children aged 7 – 12 years.
• This is a drop off session, parents are not expected to stay. Desk hire is available in our coworking office space – please ask for details.
• There will be five adults with full DBS checks to support the group.
• Please let us know when you book of any medical conditions, hidden disabilities and allergies.
• This is a physical day spent outdoors, so children need to be up for the challenge!
• Children should come prepared with a packed lunch and snack and dressed for cold / wet / hot weather as the session will go ahead whatever the weather. We strongly advise boots, coats and long trousers.
