Monthly indoor-outdoor workshop for ages 5-9 & adult

Nature Club – Pond dipping

Come pond dipping at our Nature Club summer holiday special and discover an amazing aquatic eco-system in the Science Oxford Centre! Work with our experienced club leaders to catch and identify newts, water beetles, pond-snails, dragonfly larvae or water boatmen and get up close with trays, magnifiers and microscopes. How does the food chain work, who eats who and which crazy creature comes out on top in pond-life?

What is included in your ticket:

90 minute club session for one child and accompanying adult

Access to:

– Access to the woodland and outdoor areas (inlcuding the Water Lab, bring a change of clothes) from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)

– Cafe 10am – 4pm

– Parking (limited availability)

What is NOT included:

– Access to the Exploration Zone

Event Details

Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.

Nature Club is usually held in our workshop space, with some outdoor activities in most sessions, weather permitting. Explore the natural world in different ways each month, where you will be making the most of the beautiful surroundings at the Science Oxford Centre. With ponds, woodlands and meadows on our doorstep, children can explore and investigate the plants and animals that live alongside us, discover the simple beauty of natural objects and learn how everything in an ecosystem is interconnected.

10AM – 11.30AM

12.30PM – 2PM

3PM – 4.30PM

Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)

£10 per club ticket (includes Eventbrite booking fee)

One child and accompanying adult

The Café is open 10am – 4pm. Families are welcome to bring picnics and snacks to eat at our lunch tables.
