If you are thirsting for a Regency event in the lead up to Bridgerton Series 3, then give this Regency-themed ball a whirl! Mrs Bennet’s Ballroom together with Dr Anna Nekaris, Professor in Anthropology and Primate Conservation at Oxford Brookes University, are organising a special fundraising Regency ball.
Activites include card games, a silent auction featuring autographed books to eco friendly soaps to silks and saris to free classes ranging from dancing to circus silks; a silhouette artist; sipping bubbles on the verandah; and of course dancing with a wonderful caller who will see you through! You even can have selfies with a life size slow loris and purchase newly commissioned slow loris cameos, hair sticks and chop sticks.
The event is themed around the nocturnal habits of this rare primate. Befitting the nature of these nocturnal denizens, you are invited to wear your most nocturnal regency garments, or white sparkliest or moonlight attire to speckle yourself with moon and starlight, and dance the night away in Oxford’s beautiful Headington Hill Hall to tunes with a nocturnal woodland theme!
Costume hire available from Mrs Bennet’s Wardrobe.
