Monthly Tipi Yoga + Brunch @The Spire and Spoke

Tipi Yoga + Brunch

Join us for Sunday slow flow yoga and meditation in The Tipi, followed by a nourishing brunch and refreshments served by the wonderful folk at The Spire and Spoke.

Esther Abrey Yoga is a 800+ hour qualified experienced yoga teacher, and local fan of the Spire and Spoke (the feta and onion pizza has fuelled many an offroad ride home back up Howe Hill!) Originally trained in ashtanga vinyasa, Esther’s style now blends her studies into mindfulness, yoga for athletes and functional movement, yoga for mental wellbeing, nidra, and other modalities with her experience teaching aerial yoga, accessible yoga for adults with both physical and learning disabilities, pregnancy and postnatal yoga, kids yoga, and open classes for both seasoned and newcomers to the practise.

Nestled in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Spire and Spoke welcomes cyclists, walkers, and now yogis to enjoy it’s unique rustic tipi with stunning views onto the Watlington Hill ‘spire’.

A favourite with locals for its relaxed vibe, and delicious food, these Sunday special pop-ups will help you to start your Sunday right – slow flow yoga, meditation and breathwork, followed by nourishing and scrummy food, under the twinkling canopy of the beautiful heated tipi.

What you can expect:

  • Guided breathwork to settle and prepare the nervous system
  • Slow flow yoga under the canopy of the beautiful heated tipi with stunning views out on the surrounding countryside, an area of outstanding natural beauty
  • Guided relaxation and meditation to close the movement part of the session, encouraging the body and the mind into a deep state of relaxation
  • I nfused water and herbal tea
  • Our bespoke brunch offers delicious healthy options to following our yoga practise.

Sample brunch menu may include:

  • Crudité platter with pittas and dips
  • Vegetarian charcuterie skewers
  • Honey glazed cocktail sausage
  • Delicious fresh s alad bowls; chopped crunchy vegetable salad with homemade dressing; leafy green salad; greek salad; pesto pasta salad
  • Scrumptious homemade cake
  • Cold weather warmers: Soup and flatbread, vegetable curry, quiche

Vegan/vegetarian/GF options available. Please advise of any dietary requirements no later than 1 week prior to your booked event.

Timings for the morning

  • 10-11.30am Breathwork, yoga and guided meditation
  • 11.45am Brunch
  • 12.30pm Close

O ther things to note:

  • Car and bike p arking available on site.
  • Yoga mats provided though you are welcome to bring your own. The tipi is heated, but do feel free to wear layers and/or bring any equipment/blankets you may wish to use to make yourself comfortable.
  • This session is suitable for newcomers through to seasoned yogis. Esther provides options to explore rather than a game of “Esther says”.
  • If you have any injuries or conditions, please let Esther know in advance so she can provide options for you to explore during the practise
