Media Day to learn and gain expert knowledge in media and comms

Following on from the successful Media Day taster we held at B4 HQ in June, join us for a day of expert media and comms training with B4’s Chairman and ex Director of Corporate Affairs at Unipart, Frank Nigriello and Kat Orman, experienced BBC broadcaster.

About the Day:

Morning briefing: attendees will learn more about:

  • Audience, outcome and objective: Who’s your audience, what’s your objective and what you need to say.
  • Crafting Your Core Message.
  • How to target Audiences.
  • Storytelling.
  • How to act in front of the camera.
  • Lighting, set up, equipment, sound, editing, voice overs and much more to create your perfect video.
  • Using Owned and Earned Media Channels effectively : Social media / print / video

Afternoon: lights, camera, action!

Put what you have learned into practice as you’re interviewed by the BBC’s Kat Orman in front of a live audience! Don’t worry! Kat is an expert who will put you at ease so the answers flow – we’ve seen her in action and she is awesome!

You’ll also get a copy of your interview which you can post on social media or on your website!

In addition we’ll also send you a summary of the key points of the day plus photos we will take behind the scenes.

About Kat Orman

Kat is an award winning radio presenter. She has worked across national and commercial radio, including Atlantic 252 and the BBC, most recently for Radio 2 and 4.

Kat’s vast experience over 3 decades has won her a Gold world Radio award in New York, BBC Gillards and a Sony nomination. She has interviewed Hollywood movie stars, Prime Ministers and the biggest popstars in the world, has hosted festivals in front of 20,000 people and been on the red carpet at film premieres.

Aside from being a well-known radio personality she has presented for BBC TV, including Breakfast Time and Children in Need, has been the voice of inflight entertainment and written for various local newspapers.

Kat lives in Wantage and rescues English Pointers.

About Frank Nigriello

Frank has worked in ‘blue chip’ companies such as Barclays and IBM, as well as with a wide range of SMEs, in establishing strong reputations, clear value propositions and effective marketing programmes. He has a long track record in media relations and crisis management.

Frank began his career as a journalist, first in New York then in the UK. After several roles in marketing and communications, he was appointed as Unipart’s first Director of Corporate Affairs focusing his expertise on a company at the leading edge of values-based business transformation in Britain.

In this role, he was privileged to serve as HRH the Prince of Wales’ ambassador for responsible business in the South East, a position he held for four years

Frank is also Chairman of B4 National, a commercial enterprise involving the major businesses in Oxfordshire. He is co chairman of Earth Trust, the sustainability charity, and was previously chairman of Oxfordshire Business First, the innovation business network for which he edited a book on Oxfordshire entrepreneurs. He is a founder member of the Ideas Network 2030, and was a founder of Oxfordshire Digital First, the campaigning network.
