Georgette’s Summer Assembly – Costumed Picnic and Dance

You are cordially invited to join Georgettes of Oxford for their summer assembly.
The evening will commence with a picnic in St Peter’s churchyard (or inside the Parish Hall if the weather is inclement) and then continue by re-creating Almack’s Assembly Rooms with dancing and Regency card games, gambling with chocolate money.
Dances will be practised on Friday evenings: 4th & 18th of August and the night before on the 1st of September.
Regency and Georgian evening wear is welcomed, as are non-costumers. To blend in, those not in costume may wish to wear a long skirt (ladies) or a white shirt and pale trousers (gentlemen).
Please bring a picnic rug, food and drink for your picnic, as well as shoes to dance in, if you place to take part in the dancing.
