St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy implemented ELS in September 2021 when it received validation from the DfE. They started the program at the beginning of the ELS journey and have continuously adjusted to align with their evolving progressions. These adaptations have significantly supported teachers in delivering exceptional phonics lessons, resulting in a substantial improvement in the children’s phonetic knowledge.

On Wednesday 20th March, we are opening our doors for schools to come and see ELS in action. Becka Miller-Goddard is the Assistant Headteacher and SENCo at St. Peter’s, with 7 years of teaching experience, primarily in Key Stage 1. She has led phonics for 5 years and have been using ELS for over 3 years.

We would love to see you there, and will be on-hand to answer any questions you might have over tea/coffee and biscuits.
