Duruflé Requiem

The Deitatis Consort premiere with Duruflé’s iconic Requiem. The group is formed of singers from the finest choirs in Oxford singing side-by-side with professionals from across the country.

The work is an astonishing choral tapestry, woven out of the threads of chant but immersed in the sound world of French impressionism and modality, which in a vast acoustic such as Keble’s chapel becomes a work of transcendent beauty, covering the gamut of Duruflé perfectionist mastery. The Deitatis consort are joined by Organist Daniel Greenway, and directed by Luke Mitchell.
