Celebrity Culture Club presents:Screenwriting, Striking & Celebrity Culture

Explore the relationship between screenwriting & celebrity culture, including the SAG-AFTRA writers strikes, power & change in the industry

This panel will discuss the relationship between screenwriting and celebrity culture, including what the SAG-AFTRA writers strikes can tell us about power and change in the entertainment industry. Etan Marciano is a writer, script coordinator and Mythology Coordinator for AGBO, whose credits include Person of Interest (2011-2016), From (2022- ), Swarm (2023- ), Antisemite (2022) and Citadel (2023- ) starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Janine Nabers is a WGA Award winning, Emmy nominated playwright and television writer, whose credits include Swarm and Atlanta (2016-2022), both co-written with Donald Glover, Watchmen (2019) and Antisemite. The discussion will be led by journalist Jack Royston.

This event is part of the 4th International Creative Industries Festival organised by the Creative Industries Research and Innovation Network at Oxford Brookes University, it is FREE and OPEN TO ALL!
