Cacao & Sound Bath

Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

A delicious, heart-opening cacao drink followed by a sound bath with gongs, singing bowls & chimes to rest, reset and rejuvenate

What to expect

This workshop will offer you the opportunity to explore the deep meditative states and dream-like spaces which open to us when we are bathed in sound vibrations.

We’ll have some uplifting cacao to transition out of our every day lives to keep us alert as we relax into the experience (this is entirely optional and participants can request a herbal infusion instead if required). There will then be prompts/a brief guided meditation to reflect on the energies of the season and how these relate to our lives as they are currently unfolding.

Many people find that being immersed in the soundscapes created by the gongs, singing bowls and other percussive instruments helps to quieten the chatter of the mind so they can achieve deep states of rest. Some find that the brain enters a creative state where they gain new perspectives or find solutions; others find a meditative peacefulness.

Participants usually choose to lie down, but can also remain seated whilst they are bathed in sound vibrations. The space does not contain chairs but please do contact me if you think you may require one so that I can arrange this.

Venue: Naomi Swain massage space has a small step up to enter, then is level throughout. It’s a cosy space with bolster cusions provided. Spaces will be limited to ensure optimal comfort for participants, so advance booking is highly recommended.

What to bring:

– Yoga/ camping mat or blanket to lie on.

– Blankets and warm layers as the body cools down quickly when lying in stillness

– A cushion or two for comfort (the studio provides blocks and bolsters)

– Plenty of water to stay hydrated

– An eye pillow or scarf to cover the eyes if this will bring you extra comfort

Supporter & Financial Assistance places.

The ‘supporter’ admission rate is for those who can afford to pay a little more, in order to help cover places for those not able to pay the full price.

Anyone who is experiencing financial hardship, and cannot afford the full price without foregoing daily essentials, is invited to get in touch with me regarding attendance at a rate they can afford (however little this may be). Because this is different for everyone, and because each event has a different capacity/ profit margin, I have stopped offering this as a drop down option for ticketing, and instead agree upon the rate on an individualised basis!

Cancellation policy

I am unable to offer refunds except by discretion, in exceptional circumstances. I am happy for anyone who is unable to attend to pass their place on to someone else.

If I have to cancel the event or reschedule, all participants will be refunded or offered a place at a future workshop.
