Cacao Ceremony

18th August 2024 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Cacao Ceremony is an ancient practice that honours the spirit of cacao, a sacred plant medicine. Cacao is known for its heart-opening properties and its ability to facilitate a deeper connection to oneself and others. The ceremony will be a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your inner world, release any stagnant energy, and invite in love, clarity and joy.

Cacao is a natural stimulant of serotonin, the body’s ‘happy’ chemical that helps us balance our moods and open our hearts (literally – it naturally widens the blood vessels). It is not psychotropic, it won’t cause hallucinations.

During the ceremony we will drink the cacao, set our intentions and then lie down for a guided healing meditation. This is a chance to rest, connect to the cacao, and spend time communing with your own inner wisdom.

It is good to approach these events with an open attitude free from expectations. The event is held around the full moon, as this period is an excellent time for reflection, setting intentions, and releasing what no longer serves you.

Please dress comfortably, avoid having a heavy meal, and refrain from consuming caffeine, alcohol or any mind-altering substances before the ceremony.
