Join our Countryside & Reserves Manager for a spring walk to see the spectacular display of bluebells in our semi-natural ancient woodland.

Join Toby Swift, our Countryside & Reserves Manager on a guided walk through Singe Wood, our semi-natural ancient woodland.

Singe Wood is the descendent of true ancient Wychwood woodland and is now the largest remaining fragment in the parish of Hailey.

As well as the incredible spring display of bluebells that carpet the woodland floor, there are other things to see. Toby will talk to you about ancient woodland indicators, and show you some of the special trees in the wood like the wild service trees and old field maples, as well as the unusual oak coppice. You might spot nuthatches and ravens, as well as butterflies like fritillaries.

Spend time in nature in this beautiful hidden gem of a place – a perfect way to spend a spring morning!

HOW TO FIND US:

Turn off the B4022 road onto Wood Lane. Continue along slowly until the end where there is a sharp left turn. Follow that to the wooden 5 bar gate at the end of the track. You will be met there and shown where to park.
