Set against the backdrop of the Serbo-Bulgarian War, this comedy of love and war is considered one of Shaw’s masterpieces, an incisive analysis and detailed portrait of human relationships at their closest, as the lover, the parent, the servant, and the enemy. This is DIY Theatre Company’s first foray beyond their acclaimed musicals and summer Shakespeare, and director Isabella Sharipova-Williams‘ second time playing with satire. Their plan is to detonate the full subversion of this classic play, where nothing is ever as it seems.
