City Sightseeing Bus Tour Oxford
I have lived in Oxford all my life, but it has been a long time since I have taken in the stunning sights of our magnificent City. So this weekend, I hopped on a City Sightseeing Open Top Tour Bus!
Those of us lucky enough to live in this beautiful city, are probably aware that we are surrounded by historical buildings, wonderful rivers and delightful parks, but how often do we really see them?
The City Sightseeing tour was a perfect way to forget about day to day life for an hour or so and take in the amazing views.
I collected the tickets from the office at the Rail Station and was greeted by a very helpful and friendly member of staff who supplied me with earphones for the commentary, a map of the City and told me when I could expect the next Open Top Bus to arrive.
The bus arrived (exactly when I was told it would!) and on I hopped. I went upstairs where people joining the tour (you can hop on at a selection of stops around the City) were greeted by a friendly tour guide.
The tour guide was fantastic, she was very engaging, happy and extremely knowledgeable, I joined the tour at around 2pm, and if this wasn’t her first tour of the day, you would never be able to tell, she seemed to thoroughly enjoy the tour and telling us all about Oxford.
The tour was wonderful, and it felt good to see the city as a tourist, instead of rushing around!
Whether you are visiting this amazing City, or live here, I strongly advise you hop on a City Sightseeing bus and enjoy the views and in depth knowledge from the tour guide.
