Christ Church College
Christ Church, colloquially known as “the House,” is a unique joint foundation of a college of the University of Oxford and the Cathedral of the Diocese of Oxford.
It has a world-famous Cathedral Choir and a Picture Gallery containing an important collection of Old Master paintings that is open to the public. There is also a small Cathedral School.
The College is one of the largest in the University, with approximately 110 Senior Members (tutors and college lecturers), 430 undergraduate students, and 220 graduate students.
Many distinguished people have studied here including John Locke, Robert Hooke, John Wesley, Robert Peel, William Gladstone, William Walton, W.H. Auden, David Dimbleby, Rowan Williams, Richard Curtis and Howard Goodall.
